 | Yahoo has several sites for your listing
(Main, International, or Regional) |
| search for your site (using your site
title or domain name) to determine
whether you're already listed, if you
are, you do not need to resubmit your
site...you may however, wish to complete
a change form. |
| search results are obtained by several
means: Categories, Web Sites, and
Web Pages, which are drawn from the
Google Search Engine. Therefore,
your site may appear in a search,
without being in the index! |
| if not in the index, find the category
that best suits your site. At the
very bottom of this page, will be a
"Suggest a Site" link.
Click on it to go to the submission
page. (performing a search for
sites similar to yours will help you
find an appropriate category) |
| read the submission suggestions very
carefully...they are meant to help you! |
| enter a descriptive title and
description, using less than 25
words. It's less likely to be
edited down if the description is one
sentence. |
Things to Keep in Mind
| sites are listed alphabetically by
TITLE, so try to have a site title that
starts with the letter A, B, or C.
They ask that you use your actual
business name |
| choose the lowest alphabetic category
that applies to your site, this may give
your site a bit of an edge |
| make sure that all of your important
keywords appear in the title,
description, or URL of your site |
